Here is a short email thread that concluded with a comment from Jos that made me laugh out loud.
Joel and I had been exchanging emails on an upbeat topic. After telling Joel what would make me happy, as an afterthought to amuse, I added a comment telling Joel what would really make me happy. Then Joel shared it with Jos, who truly made it funny. Here's the email:

Now up to this point, I had often heard about the time that Jos showed up in a dress at work (I think he won the "costume" contest that day). The story was legendary and it made people smile whenever they told it, but I had never seen any evidence--not even a picture.
