You can find the list of what WebTV supports on this very site, by clicking the FAQ link in this newsgroup.

Sorry to say, but WebTV does not currently support any streaming video technology.

: I brought up www.fatmedia.com/sturgis99/ and clicked on the link I made to a windows streaming media (netshow?) and the WebTV emulator said that it couldn't open it.
: Does netshow work on WEbTV? It's very very important that we can see the streaming media on webtv.
