Rob -
Thanks for the post, I hope you found the article *somewhat* helpful. I am not famililar with problems on Ebay; I'm gonig to snoop around today to see what I can find.
I'll also check out your form site to see if I can find the trouble. Can you be more specific about what's going wrong?
Thanks,
Jos
: Aside from problems caused by poorly written HTML, is there a limitation to the number of bytes that can be handled by the WebTV browser via a form post method? I have read the article by Jos Claerbout on this site and have checked and rechecked and can find no errors in my html yet form data is being truncated. Coincidentally, the Perl language CGI script I am working on is designed to make it easier for WebTV users to post auction descriptions including image src tags on eBay. As it has been reported to me that WebTV users also suffer from data loss when using eBay's CGIs, I assume the auction site alluded to in the "Function Follows Form" article was eBay. Jos, if you are reading this, or anyone else here who might know, what specifically is wrong with the eBay site so we can learn specifically what to avoid and, better yet, advise eBay of their fautly HTML and/or CGI so they can correct it. I feel certain that eBay is not particularly interested in alienating WebTV users!
: Thank You!
