glacier-sculpted basin above Lodgepole in Sequoia. Cool forests and spectacular panoramic
views of the mighty Sierran peaks.
October 27, 2001, Moro Rock climbing.
This whale-like granite exfoliation dome juts unnaturally into the vast depths of Kaweah Canyon.
Drop-offs of up to 2000 feet in three directions draw many climbers. We climbed a single
one-pitch trad route on Moro Rock's western side.
September 1-3, 2001, Big Arroyo backpack.
Our big backpacking trip for the year, and the first overnighter into SeKi's backcountry.
