In January, 2004, Kimberly, Hari, and I walked around Fort Point and the San Francisco Presidio. We took the Coastal Trail from the tourist mecca at the Golden Gate Bridge, walking by old coastal gun emplacements on our way to Baker Beach. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a shaved, very naked man playing a game of solo frisbee, as well as by splendid views of the Golden Gate bridge and Marin Headlands. We followed the Bay Area Ridge trail back to our car and lunched at Crissy Field, which may have the best panoramic view of San Francisco Bay. Though we did not have the camera to capture this, a fellow at Crissy Field was engaging in some serious rock balancing. He'd stack fifty-pound rocks in seemingly impossible positions. Don't miss this dude if you're there on a saturday.
