The xtpanel generator

While the xtpanel script language is intended to be easy to read and use, it would be nice if it weren't necessary to learn it in order to use xtpanel. For this reason, we created the xtpanel generator. This is a series of xtpanels that let the user build a panel interactively, object by object. Figure  shows the top-level generator panel. Buttons are provided to add the various objects to the panel. At any point, the resulting script file can be examined, or previewed by running xtpanel on it.
