Conclusions

Interactive software is time consuming to write. Xtpanel aims to provide a way to make existing batch software interactive, and a way to build new interactive programs using a simple script language instead of having to write X windows software. Xtpanel's primary strengths are its flexibility, which allows easy access to the powerful tools built into UNIX, and its ease of use. We hope that this combination of flexibility and ease of use will allow xtpanel to be applicable to a wide range of problems.
