CONCLUSIONS

I compare the results of MZO applied via two different methods. The Fourier domain MZO is obtained by including the NMO step to Zhang's DMO as a phase shift in Fourier domain. The MZO extracted from prestack migration is obtained by separating the prestack double square root equation into a zero-offset migration step and a migration to zero-offset step. By applying the two types of MZO to three simple synthetic models I conclude that the two definitions are not equivalent.
