PROJECT FUNCTIONS

GOCAD offers two forms of representation for its 3-D objects: one ASCII and one binary. The ASCII form is more portable and easier to edit by hand. The binary form is more compact and allows associated geometry objects, like an entire 3-D model, to be combined intelligently. Project Manager uses the binary form as its main representation tool, but can handle either format. To effectively deal with complete 3-D models, several tools that relate directly to a project as a whole are necessary.
