Since 1989 there have been several major attempts to start C++ object oriented
projects at SEP, all have met with only limited success and died
off within a year of their conception. This in spite of having some of the
best minds at SEP behind them. The reason for each projects'
failure vary, but two general problems undermined each attempt.
