The History of the Mitchell Building Skylight

ABSTRACT

During recent earthquake reinforcement of the Ruth Wattis Mitchell Earth Sciences Building, funds were successfully raised to install a skylight in the $4^{\mbox{\scriptsize th}}$ floor. The skylight was completed in January of 1998 and dedicated during the Stanford Exploration Project's $25^{\mbox{\scriptsize th}}$ year reunion on July $17^{\mbox{\scriptsize th}}$, 1998. Here is the story.
