The Java applet displays the Gif version of the result figure nmo and three buttons in the caption of the figure. I use the standard Gif format for the figure to guarantee a robust display of the document during browsing. The buttons offer the standard reproducibility commands to the reader.
The applet can download and execute a small set of underlying Java applications: The applet can download a given SEP data file and store it as a multi-dimensional Java array. The applet can invoke an application that processes a SEP data file that was downloaded earlier. The applet can convert a downloaded SEP data file into the pixel representation of the graphics package and instruct that graphics application to display the data. The downloading, conversion, and display instruction are identical for any result file. The invocation of the processing application will of course vary from project to project.
