Hiking the Big Sur Country: The Ventana Wilderness

On November 9, 2002, Kim and I hiked to the wooded summit of this 4,430-foot hill in the Ventana Wilderness. After some nasty bushwhacking, we were disappointed that the "panoramic" view could be obtained only if one stood on a granite boulder. The slopes of the hill were not steep enough to produce spectacular views below.
