Mount Thielsen, one of the lesser-known Cascade Volcanoes, is about 20 miles north of Crater Lake. The jagged and prominent summit is a popular scramble. The summit is barely visible from certain places on Crater Lake's surface, making it the only summit outside the caldera rim visible from the lake surface.
