ABSTRACTThe wave-equation algorithms used in reflection seismology are based on the combination of the following three methods: Fourier domain methods, finite differencing, and Kirchhoff integrals. These basic methods can be efficiently implemented on a massively parallel computer using simple algorithms. The proposed algorithms are easily expressed in the new Fortran 90 language. I implemented and ran the Fortran 90 codes on the SEP CM and measured good performances. |
