ABSTRACTIn this paper, I present a 3-D implementation of Huygens wavefront tracing. The three-dimensional version of the method retains the characteristics of the two-dimensional one: stability, accuracy, and efficiency. The major difficulty of the 3-D extension is related to the handling of triplications. An easy to implement solution is to approximate the wavefronts at the triplications as planes orthogonal to the incident ray. |
