SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS

Before attempting to invert for the near seafloor sediment properties, we examine the sensitivity of the reflection coefficient and the AVO coefficient. The water properties will be given by $v_{p1}\:=$ 1500 m/s and $\rho_1\:=$ 1050 kg/m³. The near seafloor layer parameters used in this study are $v_{p2}\:=$ 1693 m/s, $v_{s2}\:=$ 437 m/s, and $\rho_2\:=$ 1900 kg/m³.
